The Digital Product Passport or the DPP expands on the concept of the Battery Passport to provide information about the entire product lifecycle. The European Digital Product Passport (DPP) initiative, emphasizing transparency and sustainability, is set to redefine how one perceives, produces, and utilises batteries. The DPP is a specific digital and policy tool that is expected to revolutionise the way product-related data are collected and shared across supply chains.
Technovative Solutions Limited, dedicated to innovation, is poised to spearhead forward-thinking solutions; with expertise in blockchain technology, data management, and sustainable solutions, TVS is strategically positioned as a pivotal player in the development and adoption of the DPP.
Technovative Solutions Limited was recently featured in several external media for participation in the event ‘Eco-Design: The Path to Greater Circularity’, held on July 3 in London, organised by The Furniture Makers' Company’s Climate Change and Sustainability Committee, and sponsored by Blum UK. The event focussed on discussions by industry experts about circular design; product circularity assessments and carbon measurement; and the evolving requirement for digital product passports (DPP).

In the article published in the latest issue of the Workplace Insight's IN Magazine, Joanna Knight, chairman of the Climate Change and Sustainability Committee at The Furniture Makers’ Company mentioned Technovative Solutions LTD (TVS) as one of the pioneering organisations from the UK commissioned by the European Union to do the R&D in the DPP field and awarded the Horizon Europe-funded "the BAttery Passport for Resilient Supply Chain and Implementation of Circular Economy (BASE)" Project where TVS is responsible for developing the Digital Battery Passport (DBP) platform in the project, to be validated in cross-sectoral applications e.g. road and water-borne transport, and stationary energy storage applications.
The article quoted Dr Fahim Chowdhury, CEO of Technovative Solutions:

In this article published in the Big Furniture Group news portal, our Head of Product, Sohag Salauddin was mentioned. The article stated,"There was considerable discussion around Digital Product Passports (DPPs) – a tool aimed at enhancing transparency about a product’s environmental impact – with Jessica Alexander also flagging up that this technology will be a requirement of the ESPR legislation. A presentation from Sohag Salauddin, from Technovative Solutions, offered great insight into DPPs and the application for furniture. Already working on many EU-funded projects, in particular the BASE standards (Battery Passport for Resilient Supply Chain and Implementation of Circular Economy), Sohag explained that the company is now applying this experience and knowledge to develop solutions for furniture and textiles."
