Welding
TVS has introduced a digital B2B (business-to-business) online knowledge-based platform to support stakeholders’ interaction within the welding ecosystem. This platform serves as a transparent and accessible hub, seamlessly connecting end-users with service providers.
Materials
Energy-intensive industries need new materials to boost productivity and reduce environmental impact. TVS has built an ML (machine learning) based decision-support platform to develop cost-effective, efficient coatings that resist erosion, corrosion, oxidation, and embrittlement.
Robotics
By developing intuitive interfaces and user-friendly tools, TVS aims to democratise robot customisation, enabling businesses to quickly adapt to changing market demands and deliver personalised products efficiently.
Our projects
WeldGalaxy
The WeldGalaxy (Digital Dynamic Knowledge Platform for Welding in Manufacturing Industries) project (EU Grant Agreement no. 822106) delivered a B2B online platform that brings together global buyers (end-users/OEM) and EU sellers of welding equipment along with consumables and services, enhancing the visibility of the EU’s welding ecosystem. TVS developed a one-stop mall for the welding industry, providing provisional welding specification certificates (pWPS), cost analysis tools, LCA tools, and a product/service marketplace.
Consortium Partners:
FORGE
The FORGE (Development of novel and cost-effective coatings for high-energy processing applications) project (EU Grant Agreement no. 958457) aims to develop a set of cost-effective, highly protective coatings based on novel Compositionally Complex Materials (CCMs) to provide the required hardness, chemical stability, and gas barrier properties for challenging applications. TVS has developed a knowledge-based multi-criterion decision support system (DSS) for creating different coating materials and selecting coating processing technologies for energy-intensive industries.
Consortium Partners:
ALBATROSS
The ALBATROSS (Advanced Lightweight Battery systems Optimised for fast charging, Safety, and Second-life applications) project (EU Grant Agreement no. 963580) aims to develop advanced battery pack designs and systems that can significantly improve the energy density, weight, charging time, and driving range of electric vehicles. TVS is leading the project's life cycle analysis and sustainability. TVS is also developing a knowledge-based engineering (KBE) tool that will help the battery ecoDESIGN. This pivotal role demonstrates TVS's commitment to driving sustainable practices within the electric vehicle industry.
Consortium Partners:
VOJEXT
The VOJEXT (Value of Joint Experimentation in Digital Technologies for Manufacturing and Construction) project (EU Grant Agreement no. 952197) aims to provide a favourable business and technological framework for cognitive autonomous systems supporting human-robot interaction, dynamizing science-driven industry approaches for the European industry. TVS has developed a shared Knowledge Base (KB), a standard cloud hub that contains the semantic information created within the project.
Consortium Partners:
GeoCoat
The Geo-Coat (Development of novel and cost-effective corrosion-resistant coatings for high-temperature geothermal applications) project (EU Grant Agreement no. 764086) develops specialised corrosion- and erosion-resistant coatings to be applied through thermal powder coating techniques, specially developed to provide the required bond strength, hardness, and density for the challenging geothermal applications. TVS has developed a knowledge-based multi-criterion decision support system (DSS) for creating different coating materials and selecting coating processing technologies for geothermal applications.
