15 Apr 2025 3 min read

Composites UK gathered the industry leaders at a webinar on decarbonising the composites supply chain on March 26, 2025, proudly sponsored by Technovative Solutions Ltd. The speakers shared their insights on the latest innovations, challenges, and strategies for reducing carbon footprints across the value chain at the 90-minute-long webinar, moderated by Malcolm Forsyth, Sustainability Manager at Composites UK.

As the demand and necessity for sustainable and clean energy have increased more than ever before, the need for actionable insights has never been greater. The session brought together leading experts who shared their knowledge and experience on critical topics affecting our industry. The webinar covered sustainable materials and bio-based composites, innovations in low-carbon manufacturing, and processing. Additionally, experts also discussed practical strategies for supply chain decarbonisation, examined relevant policies, regulations, and industry standards, and provided insights from end-user perspectives.

Spotlight on TVS

Technovative Solutions played a profound role in organising the webinar by sponsoring the event. As a company at the forefront of enabling digital solutions for supply chain transparency and sustainability, TVS is committed to driving impactful conversations around decarbonisation. Salauddin Sohag, Head of Product and Promotion at the organisation, introduced all about TVS - including the core domains on which TVS works, the projects with which TVS is associated, and the partner organisations - to the webinar attendees. As the Managing Director at DigiProd Pass Ltd, a specialised division of TVS, he shed light on this spin-off as well. DigiProd Pass Ltd. has been established to support circularity and sustainability across the lifecycle of multiple types of products by developing Digital Product Passports (DPP). The slides of Mr. Sohag’s presentation are available here.

During the live panel discussion, the panellists talked about how can people get to know about the process of decarbonisation, what are the best resources that can be most helpful to them, and how can a company avail the guide of starting the decarbonising process within itself.
