CLIMATE-ADAPT4EOSC: Transforming Climate Adaptation Research

02 Feb 2025 2 min read

We are excited to announce the launch of CLIMATE-ADAPT4EOSC, a four-year-long initiative funded by the European Commission under the HORIZON Research and Innovation Actions Project (Project No. 101188248).

Starting on 1 January 2025, this project aims to establish a collaborative research environment within the European Open Science Cloud (EOSC) to revolutionise climate adaptation research.

Why CLIMATE-ADAPT4EOSC?

Despite the growing urgency of climate adaptation, researchers face significant challenges, including fragmented platforms, poor data interoperability, and limited access to FAIR (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, and Reusable) data.

CLIMATE-ADAPT4EOSC addresses these challenges by enabling seamless interaction between platforms, data spaces, and users.

This project’s mission is to empower researchers, policymakers, and communities with tools to build a climate-resilient society while advancing the EU Mission on Adaptation to Climate Change and the European Green Deal.

Key Deliverables

The project will provide innovative tools and frameworks, including:

  • Climate Adaptation Ontology: Enhancing data organisation and interoperability.
  • EOSC Climate-Adapt Knowledge Graph: Enabling efficient data access and lifecycle management.
  • AI-Driven Analytics Tool: Supporting climate risk assessments and decision-making.
  • Five Interoperability Frameworks: Ensuring compatibility across diverse systems.

Technovative Solutions’ Contribution

Technovative Solutions LTD (TVS) will develop the Climate Adapt Toolkit and Big Data Analytics services to support effective climate adaptation. Leveraging its expertise in disaster resilience and data-driven solutions, TVS is committed to delivering impactful results.
