The SHiFT Project (SuperHot geothermal-Integrated demonstration and Flow Testing), officially kicked off on 20-21 June 2026 in Larderello, Italy. The European Union-funded project brought together 17 consortium partners from five countries for its launch meeting, hosted by Enel Green Power.

The meeting focused on the project overview, scope, deliverables, and risk mitigation strategies. Tamanna Khan, PhD, COO of Technovative Solutions LTD (TVS), represented the organisation at the event, while Ashadul Hoque, Lead Technologist at TVS and SHiFT Project Lead, joined online.

The SHiFT Project aims to demonstrate sustainable power generation from superhot geothermal reservoirs exceeding 400°C, marking a major step forward in next-generation geothermal energy.

Within the project, TVS will co-develop a drilling advisory system, lead its integration on the drill rig, and oversee societal engagement, dissemination, communication, and exploitation activities.
