About the JIDEP Project

The Joint Industrial Data Exchange Pipeline (JIDEP) project is a Horizon Europe initiative aimed at creating a trusted, decentralised data-sharing ecosystem for European industries. With the help of blockchain technology, semantic interoperability, and Industry 4.0 principles, JIDEP enables manufacturers and value-chain partners to exchange industrial data securely, efficiently, and transparently.

JIDEP’s vision is to build collaborative industrial spaces where data can be shared across sectors to support sustainability, innovation, and resilience. The project aligns closely with the EU’s 2050 climate neutrality goals by fostering circularity and responsible resource use.

To achieve this, JIDEP focuses on five core objectives:

  • Data Reusability: Developing ontologies and FAIR (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable) data principles for enhanced data exchange.
  • Collaborative Spaces: Creating secure environments for cross-sector value chain collaboration.
  • Digital Tools: Introducing advanced tools such as Material Passports and Digital Product Passports for lifecycle transparency.
  • Transformation: Reinforcing industrial autonomy and resilience through digitalisation.
  • Platform Validation: Testing and validating the JIDEP tools through real-world use cases in automotive, renewable energy, and printed circuit board (PCB) sectors.

JIDEP demonstrates how a shared data infrastructure can foster collaboration and accelerate Europe’s move towards a circular, data-driven industrial future.

Technovative Solutions’ Role and Contribution

As a key partner in JIDEP, Technovative Solutions Ltd (TVS) has been leading the development of secure and interoperable digital infrastructures that enable transparent and sovereign data exchange.

One of Technovative’s central contributions has been the creation of the Consolidated Digital Product Passport (DPP) management system, designed to unify lifecycle data of materials and products across industrial value chains.

This innovation enables manufacturers to:

  • Track material origins, circularity metrics, and environmental impact.
  • Facilitate reuse, repair, remanufacturing, and recycling decisions.
  • Demonstrate compliance with EU sustainability and traceability regulations.

Through this work, Technovative supports industries in unlocking the value of data and moving toward circular, transparent, and sustainable business models. The solution exemplifies the synergy between digitalisation and sustainability that lies at the heart of the European Green Deal.

Recognition by the European Commission’s Innovation Radar

The European Commission’s Innovation Radar is an initiative that identifies high-potential innovations emerging from EU-funded research and innovation projects, assessing their market readiness and commercial potential.

In its recent analysis of the JIDEP project, the Innovation Radar categorised Technovative Solutions’ Consolidated Digital Product Passport creation and management as:

  • Market Maturity: Business Ready – the technology is mature and prepared for market deployment.
  • Market Creation Potential: Noteworthy – demonstrating strong capacity to generate new market opportunities and adoption potential.
