The ability to keep incorruptible, decentralized, and transparent data makes blockchain the efficient technology for the digitization of the healthcare industry. TVS is working with partners including key pharmaceutical industry participants to drive early adoption of a disruptive blockchain-based digitization technology. TVS has demonstrated blockchain-based applications for personalized medicine, medical IoT devices, and patients’ e-consent.

Healthcare data are stored in a variety of structured and unstructured formats in repositories scattered all over Europe, including clinics, hospitals, National Cancer Registries, Electronic Health Records etc. Much of these data are inaccessible to policy- and decision-makers due to the restrictions imposed by the GDPR as well as by national and organizational policies and regulations.

If all these data could be processed on a single platform, leveraging the power of Artificial Intelligence, health and care systems in Europe could benefit from novel insights, develop better policies and care pathways, and improve the quality of patients’ lives. New strategies and tools are needed to aggregate, analyze and extract value from this big but siloed data. TVS is working with research partners and hospitals from different European countries in developing a Federated AI service platform that will enable AI-powered studies of siloed, multi-site, cross-domain, cross-border European datasets with privacy guarantees that exceed the requirements of GDPR.
